Kim Hyun Joong conducted a ‘Yahoo! Celeb Mission Interview‘ with his fans.

The interview event started from March 20th continuing up to April 18th, and it recorded 313,000 page hits as well as 217,000 visitors and 24,000 participants in Korea alone. The response was also explosive in Taiwan and Hong Kong, as 252,6000 hits were received from the local areas, as well as 96,915 page visitors and 26,000 participants.

On April 26th, the ‘Yahoo! Celeb Mission Interview with Kim Hyun Joong’ was held, and 5 fans were selected from Hong Kong and Korea to ask him questions they’ve been wanting to ask. Even when fans asked silly questions such as which era would he like to visit if he could hop into a time machine, Kim Hyun Joong was not caught off-guard and maintained a fun atmosphere on set.

He also didn’t forget to bring out his 4D personality while stating, “If I had the opportunity, I would like to see the Mayan civilization or the Inca Empire with my very own eyes. I’m also very curious about conspiracies, so I would like to go back in time to try and arrest the man that assassinated former president John F. Kennedy.”

Korean pretty boy Kim Hyun Joong will be in Singapore for the Kim Hyun Joong Asia Fan Meeting 2012, held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 4, where he will now high-five all 3,000 fans at the show . Each member of the audience will also receive a set of T-shirt and brooch, featuring the U:ZOOSIN character which is designed by Hyun Joong.

Prior to his arrival, xinmsn caught up with Hyun Joong in a short email interview, though a number of our questions were unfortunately censored by the Korean management. The Korean heartthrob shares his memorable moments in Singapore, why he thinks he is a 'Lucky Guy' and his plans in the near future.

You've been to Singapore so many times. What are some of your most memorable moments in Singapore?
Every moment is memorable to me -- the number of fans who welcomed me at the airport and gave me their warm reception and support during my stay in Singapore. I also look forward to attending this fan meeting.

You have a song called 'Lucky Guy'. Do you think you're a lucky person? Why?
I think I am a very happy person currently, because I can do both music and acting, and is well-loved by people when doing both.

What's the biggest difference between Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong and normal guy Kim Hyun Joong?
I feel that Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong and normal guy Kim Hyun Joong is very different. Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong tries to show his perfect side to the fans, whereas the normal Kim Hyun Joong leads a normal life just like the others. I spend my time reading cartoons and playing soccer.

What are some of your future plans? Will you be releasing another album, or participate in any drama this year?
I want to be able to do well in both music and acting, and not just focus on one particular area. This year, I plan to have album activities and acting. While preparing for this upcoming fan meeting, I'm also looking at good drama or movie scripts. I'll try to show my fans a better side, so please look forward to it.

On April 26, Kim Hyun Joong had a special interview with fans from Korea and Hong Kong through "Yahoo! Celeb Mission Interview." More than 24,000 fans from Korea and 26,000 from other Asian countries like Hong Kong and Taiwan signed up online to be one of the lucky five fan interviewers.

Comedian Cho Se Ho hosted the event and five fans from Korea and Hong Kong had an opportunity to freely ask questions to Kim Hyun Joong for about an hour. Kim Hyun Joong said, "I am happy to be the first interviewee of 'Yahoo! Mission Interview.' I would like to have more chances to communicate with my fans overseas through this event."

During the interview, Kim Hyun Joong was asked "If you get a chance to take the time machine and visit a different era, when would that be?" by a fan from Hong Kong. He answered, "I want to check out Mayan or Incan civilization with my own eyes. I've always been really interested in them. Also, I'm a big fan of conspiracy theories. It'd be really nice to go back to the time when JFK was assassinated and catch the assassin myself."

The full interview of Kim Hyun Joong's "Yahoo! Celeb Mission Interview" will be revealed online through "Yahoo! Celeb" in early May. This interview will also be featured on other Asian countries' Yahoo! websites, too. Also in May, Kim Hyun Joong will hold "Kim Hyun Joong Fan Meeting Tour 2012" in several Asian countries. 24 April 2012 (Singapore) – Kim Hyun Joong has taken the challenge to high-five all 3,000 members in the audience at the Kim Hyun Joong Asia Fan Meeting 2012 in Singapore on 4 May 2012, aiming to break the record by any artiste performing in Singapore so far to offer the closest fan interaction for audiences during a concert. Previously only open to 500 lucky fans in the audience, Kim Hyun Joong has now personally requested to high-five all concert attendees at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, a feat never undertaken before at any concert or fan meeting.

Kim Hyun Joong will also give away one set of T-shirt and brooch of his own design, encompassing the U:ZOOSIN character, a cartoon avatar created by Kim Hyun Joong himself to everyone in the audience. This will be specially made for this fan meeting tour. Kim Hyun Joong’s official animated character U:ZOOSIN has sold 50,000 units in Korea alone, boasting approximately US$1,900,000 in sales.

“This is a very special request we’ve received, which proves Kim Hyun Joong’s immense devotion to his fans. SOUTH Korean superstar Kim Hyun Joong, whose seductive gaze can melt even the hardest of hearts, said he decided to kick off his upcoming Asian tour in Singapore next month for one simple reason.

"I've visited Singapore several times and whenever I am there, I always get great energy," the singer-actor told LOUD in an exclusive e-mail interview.

"Singapore audiences give me good, passionate responses. So, I've designated Singapore the first country for my fan meetings... Hopefully, I'll get the same positive energy this time round."

Kim HyunJoong expressed his regrettable feelings towards the recent controversy about the 'high ticket price' for his first official fanmeeting in Taiwan. Kim HyunJoong will be holding his '2012 Kim HyunJoong's Fanmeeting in Taiwan' for 2 days (18th and 19th May). However recently, the Taiwan medias have been raising their opinions to Kim HyunJoong's agency, Key East, about the 'tickets' high price' issue.

According to Key East's official to E-news on 20th April, he revealed,  'We heard from the local (Taiwan) authorities saying that the price was set accordingly and we didn't expect this kind of controversy. We are feeling regretful and upset about this matter. Kim HyunJoong is expected to perform 14 songs in this Taiwan fanmeeting, the sound system will also be mini-concert-liked scale as to bring out the best performance. In addition to the High-5 event, Kim HyunJoong will also be giving out presents prepared by him directly. He will be doing his best not to let the fans down.'

The lowest ticket price for Kim HyunJoong's fanmeeting's ticket starts from 30,000won to 180,000won. Most of the ticket allocation is around 100,000 won and only some VIP seats' are 180,000won. Most overseas singers performing in Korea itself too cost around 200,000won and it might even cost 500,000won~600,000won in Japan, thus Kim HyunJoong's fanmeeting's ticket's price cannot be considered as expensive in this case. As for the reason for Kim HyunJoong's ticket price's controversy is because of his fame hence this kind of 'happenings' appear. The official expressed further, 'It's not only about the interactions with fans, he is also aiming to provide a concert-liked fanmeeting and he will also be paying extra attention on this in his future fanmeetings'

Meanwhile, Kim HyunJoong will be kicking off his Asia Tour on early May starting in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia accordingly.

Kim HyunJoong will be kicking off his fanmeeting this May starting in Singapore. Not only Kim HyunJoong but including his agency Key East have been busy preparing for this fanmeeting 2 week before.

What really had garnered the attention is Kim HyunJoong's love for the fans. It is usually the agency who prepares the gifts for fans in fanmeeting, but Kim HyunJoong have planned to take part in the gift selection's meeting directly himself.

According to an official of Key East to MyDaily on 20th April, 'Kim HyunJoong is directly preparing the gift for the fans, putting all his effort in it', expressing his love for the fans.

Not only this, it is also decided that Kim HyunJoong will be meeting all his fans 1 on 1. According to the official, 'I wanted to meet every fans that come to the event', expressing on Kim HyunJoong's behalf, 'The time doesn't matter as long as the fans can meet Kim HyunJoong', he explained.

Kim Hyun Joong unsettled over controversy surrounding his Taiwanese fan meeting

Ahead of his first independent fan meeting, Kim Hyun Joong is unsettled by the controversy surrounding the price of the fan meeting tickets.

On May 18th and 19th, Kim Hyun Joong will be holding  his ‘2012 Kim Hyun Joong Asia Fan Meeting In Taiwan‘, and the tickets are currently being sold between 30,000 KRW (~$27) to 200,000 KRW (~$180). Some reports in the Taiwanese media state that the fans feel the prices for the tickets are too high, putting both Kim Hyun Joong and the organizing team in a sticky situation.

A representative from the organization team informed OSEN on April 20th, “We are aware that there is some controversy surrounding the price of the tickets. But this fan meeting is different from all the others. Though its called a ‘fan meeting’, it is on the same scale as a quality concert performance.”

“Kim Hyun Joong is actively participating in planning this fan meeting,” the rep continued. “He has prepared 14 song performances for the fan meeting, and has prepared a event where fans can win prizes full of cosmetics from the cosmetic brand he endorses. He is unsettled at the controversy in the local area, and he is planning an excellent event that will not disappoint the fans. Please look forward to it.”

The tickets for this event were priced similarly to tickets for other Hallyu star fan meetings in the local area. The price was also not an issue in Singapore or Hong Kong, where Kim Hyun Joong recently performed.
