HIM Records confirmed last night that Fahrenheit member Wu Chun has quit the group as he no longer wants to further his singing career. HIM Records respects his decision and expresses that the remaining three members Aaron Yan, Jiro Wang, and Calvin Chen will continue as Fahrenheit.
HIM Records revealed that Wu Chun had expressed that he wanted to spend more time with his family at the beginning of the year, and stated that he "didn't have any interest in singing and hope to move on to focus on his acting." HIM Records negotiated with Wu Chun several times and highlighted that there would be more development to come for Fahrenheit, in an attempt to keep him. However, Wu Chun has made up his mind to leave, thus, HIM Records wishes him a successful career.

Kim Hyun Joong has become the highest selling solo artist this year by selling over 100,000 copies of his latest album, “Break Down.” According to Hanteo, Korea’s largest record sales chart, “Break Down” sold 80,000 records in the first two weeks of its release, and an additional 20,000 so far, reaching the 100,000 milestone just today. Aside from DBSK and Big Bang, no other K-Pop artist has sold more than 100,000 albums this year.
“Kim Hyun Joong has been able to overcome the pressures of turning solo and bring in a positive impact to the K-Pop industry,” an industry official was quoted as saying by local media.
Breaking the 100K mark in album sales is almost considered a landmark event in today’s music market, especially considering the drastic decline in overall music sales. Despite such dire circumstances, Kim Hyun Joong has created a something called the “Kim Hyun Joong Syndrome,” keeping up high sales figures and sensational popularity since the album’s release on June 8th. “Break Down” has topped various online and TV show charts, and many expect the album sales figures to continue increasing as Kim Hyun Joong is planning a nine-country Asian Tour in August.

SBS’s “Strong Heart” held a “King of Kings” special on the June 21st broadcast. During this recording, SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong confessed an interesting story titled, “Kim Hyun Joong’s incarceration incident.”
Back in 2007, Kim Hyun Joong went to a nightclub with some acquaintances while on vacation in Jeju Island. He revealed, “I was even singing while playing, but when I get drunk, my downfall is that I get really sleepy. I had to use the restroom, so I left briefly to go to the restroom. However, I don’t recall anything that happened after that.”
When he woke up from his sleep, Kim Hyun Joong first checked his text messages. His cell phone was off and when he turned it on, he had over 100 missed calls. After this, he was about to go back to sleep, but he suddenly realized that he couldn’t remember where he was. Because it was dark and he couldn’t see anything in front of him, Kim Hyun Joong thought he might have been kidnapped and told himself to stay calm.
He turned on his cell phone again to try and use the light to see what was in front of him, but after a second, his cell phone turned off again. He put on his shoes and started to touch the items in front of him.
Kim Hyun Joong revealed, “I went back and forth touching the things in the room, but I felt a lot of buttons. When I pressed the buttons, they felt familiar. I thought to myself, ‘Ah, this is the room from last night.” The buttons were from the karaoke machine.
As it turned out, when Kim Hyun Joong came back from the restroom, he accidently went into the wrong karaoke room in the club and fell asleep. His friends thought that Kim Hyun Joong went back to his dorm early, so they left the nightclub. After, Kim Hyun Joong tried to exit the club, but the doors were locked and the phone inside the nightclub only had extension features.
Kim Hyun Joong started to worry a bit more, but he finally got the door to open and escaped. However, when he came outside, he realized that his hair was a mess and he had no money. He tried to make a toll-free call to his friends, but his friends didn’t pick up the phone because they were all asleep.
Kim Hyun Joong stated, “Because my dorm was 40km (around 25 miles) away, I just sat on the street. I was just a beggar” – causing much laughter in the studio. Those around him joked around and stated, “You’re a flower-beggar,” playing on his title as a “flower boy” from “Boys over Flowers“.

SEOUL: Korean superstar Bae Yong Joon announced Tuesday that he is preparing to groom a male idol group which will debut next year, reported Korean media.
"Some members have already been selected through auditions ... We plan to pick more members.

On the most recent episode of SBS’s ”Night After Night”, Kim Hyun Joong shared some interesting details about his school days. The host asked the singer if he did well in school. Kim Hyun Joong wittily replied, “I was the type to stay average, so I didn’t do too horribly. No matter how little I studied, there were always eight people ranked below me.” He added, “Because I did soccer, I fell behind in class. I was scared my teacher would call my parents, so I stole the attendance book one day and threw it down the crevice in the elevator at my apartment.” Kim also talked a bit about his flirting style during his school days: “I had a girl I liked, so I didn’t talk to any other female classmates.” He apparently met his first love at a sundae stew restaurant, and explained to the audience how he managed to charm her into dating him. “In order to see her, I went to that stew place for two years straight. After that, we dated, but we grew apart after I debuted.”
